To whom it may concern,
I am writing in reference to Liam Davey and his job application. I have known Liam for 18 months as his employer. As a Senior Artist, Liam designed character and creature concepts for Magical Game Studio as well as doing work as a colorist on in-game animations. I have found him to be very self-motivated, punctual and extremely good with feedback; he is always looking to develop his skills in design and the fundamentals of artistry.
I have found his conceptual designs throughout working for me, to have been innovative, original and very professionally presented. He submits his design work in a timely manner and is always available to make any iterations that may need to me done.
As part of his role, Liam worked as a colorist on the sprite animations as well as creating us many of the concept designs. In this role, he gave regular updates to clarify which frames all the artists on this task were working on. This made sure they were all using the same values and colors throughout the project to keep the end result consistent. I found him to have great communication skills and work fantastically within a team.
I would recommend Liam Davey as a concept artist as he produces consistent, highly professional and original concept designs. As well as being passionate about developing his skill to become an even better designer and artist.
Yours truly,
Zachary Lehman
